Welcome to Boa Vida Travel a small travel project born from a love for meaningful journeys. We organize boutique trips that focus on real experiences, not crowded tours. Each trip is planned with care, combining beautiful places, good food, and local culture with time to slow down and enjoy it all.

I’m Carole the founder and designer of experiences at Boa Vida Travel.
After years of exploring unique destinations, I created Boa Vida to share a different way of traveling one that goes beyond sightseeing and invites you to experience the essence of each place.
Each journey is designed for small groups and planned with care from selected boutique stays to authentic experiences that support and connect with local culture.
The name Boa Vida means “good life” in Portuguese. I chose it because every trip is designed to celebrate life’s simple pleasures beautiful places, meaningful experiences, and the joy of discovery.
Upcoming Trip
Madeira Island Discovery Retreat
January 28 to February 1, 2026
Madeira is one of those places that stays with you. A small Portuguese island in the Atlantic Ocean, it’s covered in green mountains, curving coastal roads, waterfalls, and quiet villages where time seems to slow down. The weather is usually lovely, with plenty of sunny days along the coast and green, refreshing mountains to explore. The food is rich and full of flavor, reflecting the island’s unique culinary traditions. And the people are genuinely kind, always ready to share a story or a smile.
Our Accomodation in the middle of a vineyard
Over five days, we’ll stay in a cozy family-owned property that offers a warm, welcoming experience, combining restored historic buildings with cozy cottages surrounded by an organic vineyard, where guests can relax among the vines, enjoy local wines, and take in the breathtaking ocean views.
Our Private Guide
We’ll be joined by our private local guide, born and raised in Madeira the only tour guide recommended by the Lonely Planet travel book. He knows every hidden corner of the island and will share stories, history, and places you’d never find on your own.
Private Group transportation
We’ll also have our own private transportation, a comfortable bus that will take us around the island each day. No schedules to rush for, no waiting on groups just our small group exploring Madeira at our own pace.
